Cristiano Ronaldo has written his name into Real Madrid folklore with a staggering tally of 414 goals in 407 games and counting, combined with countless trophies and individual accolades.

However, as with every good story, there has to be an end and as he prepares to turn 33 next year, there will be a glance towards the long-term future for Los Blancos and how they can cope without him.

Surprisingly though, it’s the other way round according to AS, who claim that as per El Chiringuito, Ronaldo has informed Madrid president Florentino Perez that he wants to leave the Bernabeu next summer.

For all the numbers mentioned above and the trophies that he’s won since moving to the Spanish capital, the Portuguese superstar is having a tough campaign this time round as he has just one goal in seven La Liga appearances so far this season.

Messi wants Barcelona to sign Spurs star Alli

LONDON: Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has reportedly identified Dele Alli as a must-have signing for the club despite Real Madrid being long-term admirers of the playmaker.
The Daily Mail reported that with Andres Iniesta, 33, not getting any younger and Ivan Rakitic's future uncertain, the Spanish giants are believed to be in the hunt for a new midfielder.
And, according to media reports, top of that list is Germany international Leon Goretzka, who has been in stunning form for Schalke this season — while they also retain an interest in Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho
However, it is also understood that Messi has given his opinion and the Argentine would like to see Barca beat their rivals to the signature of Alli.
The 21-year-old has flourished since signing for Tottenham from MK Dons in 2015, and is now also a regular starter for the senior England team.
Messi is a huge fan, and would relish the opportunity to play alongside a midfielder who has scored 31 league goals in 80 games for the north Londoners
Barca, however, will prioritise the signing of Coutinho when the window reopens, while also keeping a close eye on Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann.
Alli seems happy in north London, with Spurs battling for the Premier League title, but hinted earlier this year that he could be willing to leave in the future.

REPORT: ARSENAL DEAL FOR PLAYER COMPARED TO MESSI ALMOST DONE, COULD TRIGGER DOUBLE MOVE

By George Brooks

Arsenal are closing in on the £60m signing of Lyon star Nabil Fekir, according to a report.

The Daily Star report that a deal for the 24-year-old is “almost done” which would pave the way for star players Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez to depart the club in January.

Arsenal are understood to be ready to accept as little as £30m for Ozil, who is a target of Manchester United.
They will also accept a similar fee for Sanchez, who came close to joining Premier League leaders Manchester City over the summer.

Batistuta 'not happy' for Messi's record with Argentina

Argentinian football legend Gabriel Batistuta has admitted that it does hurt to see his record being broken by Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi.

The 30-year-old Messi shattered Batistuta’s goalscoring record back in 2016 when his brace against the United States had handed the Argentines a win. As things stand, Messi has 61 goals in 123 games, while Batistuta’s tally reads 54 in 77 outings for the men in blue and white.

Batistuta talked to Telefe about about his record being shattered by Messi and how he felt about it. He said: "Has bothered me? Partially yes. Indeed, more than a little. It felt so good when I was the leading scorer, turning around the world all reminded me of the best goalscorer of Argentine history. I think Messi, in this step, doubts me. The only positive thing is that I know I'm coming after an extraterrestrial. "

Messi was involved in Argentina’s recent friendly against Russia, but failed to score as a Sergio Aguero goal proved enough to hand the country a 1-0 win.

Neymar to Madrid possible – Morata

Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar could join Real Madrid but it will be difficult, according to Chelsea forward Alvaro Morata.

The Brazil international has again been linked to the LaLiga champions, with Madrid captain Sergio Ramos saying the door was open for the 25-year-old.
Neymar made a world-record move from Madrid's fierce rivals Barcelona to PSG in August and has scored 11 goals in 12 games in all competitions for the Ligue 1 giants.
Morata, who left Madrid for Chelsea in July, said Neymar joining his former club would be hard – but not impossible.

"I think it is difficult because of his past," the Spain international told El Larguero.
"But we have already seen that in Madrid there is no impossible."
Zinedine Zidane's men are eight points behind rivals and LaLiga leaders Barcelona through 11 matches this season.

Xavi considering coaching next season, praises Lionel Messi

Former Barcelona midfielder Xavi has reiterated his desire to become a coach once his playing career ends, while praising former teammate Lionel Messi as a "normal person" off the field.

Xavi, 37, is currently playing for Al Sadd in the Qatar Stars League, but has also been taking the first steps in picking up his coaching badges.

The ex-Spain international's contract with Al Sadd, whom he joined in 2015 after ending his 24-year association with Barca, expires next summer, and the 2010 World Cup winner says he'll retire and become a coach soon.
