Barcelona are hopeful of landing Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho in a £130million January deal, reports in Spain have claimed.
Barca failed to wrap up a deal in the summer after Liverpool knocked back all offers, much to the frustration of Coutinho, who was keen to leave Anfield and head to the Nou Camp.
Liverpool’s stance appears to have softened since then with reports claiming they will finally allow the Brazilian to head to Barca, as along as the Catalan giants match their £130million asking price.
That should not be a problem and Coutinho looks set to get his wish of becoming a Barca player in the new year, while Jurgen Klopp will get a huge cash injection to bolster his Reds ranks.
It has been claimed Klopp will receive every penny from the sale of Coutinho to strengthen his squad, with Southampton central defender Virgil van Dijk still said to be top of his wanted list.
Even if Klopp has to pay £70million to land the Dutchman, he will still have plenty left over to sign Coutinho’s replacement, with Paris Saint-Germain’s Julian Draxler said to be his top target.
